Finding God in the Middle of the Overwhelm

Some weeks feel heavier than others.

This has been one of those weeks for me.

The days have stretched long, filled with noise, needs, and heart-ache. The kind of long that wears on your bones. The kind of long where even your prayers feel tired.

I’ve been battling—mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

Not just the surface struggles of routine or messes or schedules, but the quiet, unseen kind. The kind that whispers lies in your ear. The kind that tells you you’re not enough, not strong enough, not spiritual enough. The kind that makes opening your Bible feel like climbing a mountain, and praying feel like grasping for words that won’t come, even when it's the first thing to do.

And I’ll be honest: writing this post didn't come easily.

But I’m learning that sometimes, showing up in the middle of the mess is the most honest offering we can give.

No polish. No perfect ending.

Just presence. Just honesty. Just being.

Maybe you’ve had a week like this too.

Maybe you're living it right now.

If so, I want to remind you of this:

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” – Exodus 14:14

You don’t have to have it all together.

You don’t have to feel strong to be held.

You don’t have to pray the perfect words to be heard.

You just have to be still long enough to let Him meet you there.

Even now, even here—He is still faithful.

He still sees you. He still holds you. He still fights for you.

And that is enough for today.

Final Thoughts:

If your soul feels weary and your heart feels heavy, you’re not alone. There’s grace in this place.

Not the kind that demands you “get it together,” but the kind that gently says, “Come to Me. I will give you rest.”

Keep showing up.

Keep being still.

And let His strength carry you through your weakness.
